I highly recommend staying here; the location is great, just 1 km from a large square, and the restaurant has excellent service from very efficient and especially helpful staff.

The location was ideal, right in the heart of Eixample. The lady at the reception was friendly and helpful, though she spoke no English. For the price of 50 euros a night, we ( 2 people) had our own private bath, which was a pretty good deal. However, the rooms were a bit stark and dreary.
It was very loud at night till 2:30 am in the morning. Many other guests (girls) were shouting and going up and down the floors, with doors slamming. It was hard to get a good night of rest. We got a space heater from the lady at the reception, but the room was still a bit cold.

The hotel was clean and staff were pleasant. Got the same exceptionally clean twin room with a balcony view of Passeig de Gracia booked online. - It had a marvelous and awesome location around 4-6 minutes away by foot from a major thoroughfare.

My stay was real good for 1 night. The location of the hotel was marvellous and unbeatable - not too far from a large square. It was in a beautiful area and there were restaurants and cafés. The restaurant was nice, and the staff efficient.

The hostel is in a perfect location just off Passeig de Gracia and fantastic value for money - rather shabby now but as a traditional apartment house full of character. Facilities are basic but I had everything I needed - my room had a lovely glazed veranda where the sun streamed in in the morning and a wonderful hot shower in the private bathroom. The hostel was clean and quiet, bed comfortable, sheets and towels crisp. Communal facilities include a kitchen, common sitting room, tv, computers - and the free wifi works well.
In February there was no heating - so ask for an extra blanket.

Simple. excellent beds with cotton sheets, friendly staff. Great location for our needs.
Failure to answer doorbell throughout night, kept us awake persistently, esp on sat night !! Felt sorry for stranded/desperate latecomers, who only got in after 10-15 rings, by which time we were wide awake. This happened about once an hour. ie extremely unreliable night staffing !

Spacious rooms and relatively clean. Good location, close to public transportation and restaurants/bars.- Enjoyed the balcony with windows that could be opened
Uncomfortable beds and old building. No air conditioning, only a fan provided.

It's a great location and offers good value for the price. It's clean, staff are friendly and the free Internet was a real bonus. The ambiance also suited the area and the city.
The beds could have been firmer.
